Well, hello July! July is my favorite month of the year … but more on that in a bit.
July marks the midpoint of 2013. With the 13th year of the century in full swing, July’s 13/4 Universal Month number carries a special meaning.
We are in a 6 Universal Year (2+0+1+3) which is all about abundance.
July is the 7th month of the year. The number 7 is about insight and intuition. Notice that the number 7 opens to the left but points to the upper right. This means that we need to look within and resolve old wounds so that you can renew and transform.
The number 13 is a karmic number symbolizing birth, death, renewal and transformation. 13 is also the number of the divine feminine and goddess energy.
13 reduces to the number 4. 4 is about the earth and grounding. It is a member of the manifestation triad which one can reach through focus discipline and hard work.
Astrologically speaking we have a lot going on this month too. Let’s start with some dates and happenings though I can’t possibly mention everything.
First, Mercury went retrograde on June 26th and will stay that way until July 20th (the shadow doesn’t end until August 3rd). Mercury governs communications, travel and commerce. You may find that electronics (especially computers and cell phones) acting up. Be patient and stay grounded. Also try to communicate more clearly and double check details especially when traveling.
On July 4, the Sun in Cancer squares Uranus in Aries at 12 degrees. The Sun represents your vitality. It also represents the father, male energy and how you relate to men. Cancer is a water sign, very emotional, maternal.
Uranus rules electricity and change, especially sudden change. Uranus also rules technology, innovation, discoveries and progressive thought. Uranus celebrates genius, originality and individuality. Aries is an active, energetic firey sign.
At 12 degrees, brings together the 1 and the 2 to create and express change and it could be something shocking.
Saturn in Scorpio turns direct at 4 degrees 49 seconds on July 8th at 5:12 AM Universal Time. 4s and 8s have a karmic attraction for each other and we can certainly see it in these numbers. Notice that 4 degrees and 49 (49 reduces to 13 which reduces to 4) equal 8. Also, the time it goes direct 5:12 adds up to the number 8. All happening on the 8th of July. Saturn is the planet of discipline and learning. If things have felt stagnant in the last few months, things will start to move forward in the areas of money, investments and partnerships.
Also, on July 8, the new moon in Cancer at 16 degrees forms a powerful square with Pluto/Uranus square. What this means is that issues that came up in May when Pluto and Uranus squared each other at 11 degrees are being resolved now. Cancer is an emotional planet and is ruled by the moon so any moon event is going to trigger deep emotions. You may have to go deep into your feelings to release this. Also this happens at 16 degrees which is about transformation, often unexpected. 16 reduces to 7 and I’ve mentioned earlier this means lightning fast insights, intuition before but you may also get physic hits. Follow those hunches.
Mars joins the Sun, Mercury, and Jupiter in Cancer on July 13. Cancer energy is a resurgence of the divine feminine (13). Mars rules Aries where Uranus retrogrades. Uranus is the planet of rebellion and revolution. Pluto is in Capricorn, the sign of authority and wherever Pluto sits that which is hidden comes to light. I think major transformations are on the horizon.
On July 16, Jupiter forms a Grand Water Trine with Saturn in Scorpio and Neptune in Pisces. Jupiter is the planet of expansion. Everything it touches is made bigger. This means that the water energy is really intensifying and should help calm you and alleviate any tension that Pluto and Uranus are creating
Uranus goes retrograde on July 17. 17 is the immortality number. 17 further reduces to 8 which is about power, money and abundance. I mentioned earlier that Uranus governs innovation, progressive thought, originality, etc. When a planet goes retrograde it means that which is governs will be revisited. Take the time to review plans that you may have forgotten about. Ask yourself it is is time to revive them. If so, bring them to the forefront and give them attention ~ bring them into manifestation because these are the things that will leave a legacy behind.
On July 22, we have the Full Thunder Moon at 2:16 PM EST at 00 degree 44 seconds in Aquarius. This happens at the exact same moment the Sun enters Leo it’s home sign.
22 is a master number. This number is referred to as the Buddha number because it is about peace and communication. You see that 22 reduces to 4. The number 4 is about building a foundation. The 00 is about divine protection. And the 44 seconds adds up to 8. Here we see our 4/8 theme continue. There is so much going on with this full moon, I will have to write a separate blog post about it so stay tuned.
On a positive note, there is a very bright sign in the sky to look forward to at the end of July. On July 29th, we look forward also to the much celebrated and rare ‘Grand Sextile’ which will span the entire sky.
The Grand Sextile is composed of 6 sextiles, 2 easy Grand Trines and 3 oppositions. At its heart will be a Grand Trine linking the three energies that manifest blessings and abundance: Jupiter (the Blessing Giver) who will be in Cancer; Neptune (the Dreamer) who is in his home sign of Pisces for the first time in over 160 years; and Saturn (the Manifestor).
Since all the planets involved are in earth or water signs, this alignment is an indication that the feminine force is bestowing the planet with a tenderness and flow of healing energy.
This geometric shape is known as the Star of David because the Israelite King David is said to have had just such a star in his birth chart.
A Grand Sextile links six planets in an interlocking, interconnected chain of creativity. There’s only one caveat. To realize the abundant potential of the sextile, we must do the work. Not all of the work, but the steps that put the cosmic process of creation in motion.
Be bold and decisive now with those plans and unfinished projects. Don’t hold back. Put those intuitive hunches into action this month. You are fully supported to manifest.
I wrote at the beginning of this blog post that July was my favorite month. Why? Because it is my birth month. And I’m having a Birthday Saleabration. So stay tuned … in the next day or two I’ll have all of the details for you!
